SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, During the 100th General Assembly, Senate Joint Resolution SJ0054 created the Southwest Illinois Connector Task Force to study the cost, feasibility, and environmental impact of the proposed four lane divided highway, the short and long term economic impact to the region, and all options for funding both public and private; and

WHEREAS, The Southwest Illinois Connector Task Force was to make recommendations to the General Assembly and the Illinois Department of Transportation by December 31, 2018; and

WHEREAS, The Southwest Illinois Connector Task Force needs additional time to complete its work; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING HEREIN, that the Southwest Illinois Connector Task Force shall make recommendations to the General Assembly and the Illinois Department of Transportation as required by Senate Joint Resolution SJ0054 no later than December 31, 2019; and be it further

RESOLVED, That with this extension, the Southwest Illinois Connector Task Force shall continue to operate as provided under Senate Joint Resolution SJ0054 of the 100th General Assembly.
