SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William A. "Bill" Myers of Normal, who
4passed away on October 4, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bill Myers was born in Bloomington to Gordon W.
6and Phillis Eileen Purcell Myers on July 31, 1957; he graduated
7from Bloomington High School in 1975; he married Elizabeth
8"Betsy" Anne Shaw at the Washington D.C. Temple in Kensington,
9Maryland on December 29, 1976; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Bill Myers worked for the Bloomington Housing
11Authority for over 30 years; he retired as the Director of
12Technical Services in January 2018; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Bill Myers was an active member of the Church of
14Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving others
15through various callings in the church; he was also active in
16the Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal; he was a past
17board member of the YMCA, a past participant in Leadership
18McLean County, a Cardinal Youth Football volunteer, and a BNGSA
19Board member and coach; he was also involved with the
20activities of his children and grandchildren; his greatest love
21was to love others and to serve righteously; and

1    WHEREAS, Bill Myers is survived by his wife, Betsy; his
2children, Angela Myers, Brett Myers, Amanda (Tim) Schneider,
3DesaRae (Brian) Ludolph, Ashleigh Myers, Kyle (Mandy) Myers,
4Austin Myers, Chelsea (Wes) Hood, and Danylle Myers; his seven
5grandchildren; his siblings, Patricia (Randy) Miller, Rich
6(Cathy Kelly) Myers, Angie Dossett, Steffen (April) Myers, and
7Kaye Holman; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10William A. "Bill" Myers and extend our sincere condolences to
11his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Bill Myers as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
