SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William R. "Bill" Harrigan, who passed away on May 4, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Bill Harrigan was born in Joliet to William F. and Margaret (Ruettiger) Harrigan on April 19, 1940; and

WHEREAS, Bill Harrigan was formerly employed as a business manager for the Chicago Ridge School District; and

WHEREAS, Bill Harrigan was preceded in death by in death by his parents; his sister, Marilyn Carson; and his stepson, Edward A. Gans; and

WHEREAS, Bill Harrigan is survived by his wife, Doris J. (Robbins) Harrigan; his children, Charles (Jen) Harrigan, Margaret (Paul) Callaghan, and Christopher (Milica Jovic) Harrigan; his stepsons, William K. (Diane) Gans and Matthew J. (Beverly) Gans; his stepdaughter-in-law, Marilyn (the late Edward A.) Gans; five grandchildren and numerous stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; his brothers, James Harrigan and Richard (Beth) Harrigan; his sister, Kathleen (Dean) Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of William R. "Bill" Harrigan, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bill Harrigan as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
