SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Annie S. Holsten of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on May 6, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Annie Holsten was born in McHenry to Nikolaus and
6Anna (Klintworth) Tietjen on July 1, 1929; she graduated from
7Crystal Lake Community High School and married John Holsten on
8October 23, 1948; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Annie Holsten worked for many years as a
10bookkeeper for the Bauer Oil Company in Crystal Lake; she also
11kept books for her husband's service station and automotive
12businesses; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Annie Holsten had a passion for gardening and
14always enjoyed working in her yard; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Annie Holsten was preceded in death by her
16husband, John, and her infant daughter, Carol; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Annie Holsten is survived by her daughter, Shirley
18(Don) Freese; her son, Jim (JoAnn) Holsten; her grandchildren,
19Rebecca (Larry) Nakamura, Rachel (Mike) Nicholson, Jessica
20(Derek) Loverich, and Leah and Tori Holsten; and her

1great-grandchildren, Calista and Dryden Nicholson and Matthew
2and Natalie Loverich; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Annie S. Holsten, and extend our sincere condolences to her
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Annie Holsten as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
