SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Michael John Diamond, who passed away on April 30, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Michael Diamond was born to Paul and Marla Diamond on March 22, 1993; he graduated from Immanuel Lutheran Grade School, Shoreland Lutheran High School, and earned a bachelor's degree from Valparaiso University, where he graduated with high honors; and

WHEREAS, Michael Diamond worked as a Licensed Mortgage Loan Officer for Diamond Residential Mortgage Corporation; he was licensed in the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Ohio; and

WHEREAS, Michael Diamond was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church; he loved life, history, and spending a day on the ski slopes in Utah or Colorado; he enjoyed watching a great movie or attending a fun concert with his brothers and friends; he was always smiling, laughing, and bringing smiles and laughter to others; and

WHEREAS, Michael Diamond was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Esterle Cobourn and Edna Maxwell; and

WHEREAS, Michael Diamond is survived by his parents; his brothers, Christopher (Julie) Diamond and Zachary Diamond; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Michael John Diamond and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Michael Diamond as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
