SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Patricia Jeanne Fee of Spring, Texas, who
4passed away on February 7, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Patricia Fee was born in Flushing, New York to
6Regina and Leo Bigler on March 24, 1955; she graduated from
7Kingston High School and received her nursing degree from BOCES
8in New York; she married Kelvin Fee on February 2, 1991, and
9they raised their children in Canada, New York, Illinois,
10Indiana, and Florida; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Patricia Fee worked in a hospice as a young woman;
12she was always active in her community, including serving as a
13Republican precinct committee woman; she became involved with
14both the Illinois Federation of Republican Women and the
15National Federation of Republican Women, of which she was a
16past vice president; in 2012, she ran as a Republican for the
1784th District State House seat; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Patricia Fee was a mentor to young women in
19politics and liked to volunteer; she enjoyed the Iditarod dog
20sledding race in Alaska; she loved her family, knitting,
21crafts, and politics; she enjoyed living in Houston with
22Kelvin, right down the street from her grandchildren; and

1    WHEREAS, Patricia Fee was preceded in death by her mother
2and her brother, James Bigler; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Patricia Fee is survived by her father; her
4husband, Kelvin; her son, Robert (Kristen) Dascal; her
5daughters, Sarah (Brandon) Zerface and Kaitlin Fee; her
6brothers, Thomas (Renee) Bigler and Leo (Sharon) Bigler; and
7her grandchildren, Maddox and Maverick Potter, Major and Monroe
8Dascal, and Leo Zerface; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Patricia Jeanne Fee and extend our sincere condolences to her
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Patricia Fee as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
