SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Patricia Jeanne Fee of Spring, Texas, who passed away on February 7, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Fee was born in Flushing, New York to Regina and Leo Bigler on March 24, 1955; she graduated from Kingston High School and received her nursing degree from BOCES in New York; she married Kelvin Fee on February 2, 1991, and they raised their children in Canada, New York, Illinois, Indiana, and Florida; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Fee worked in a hospice as a young woman; she was always active in her community, including serving as a Republican precinct committee woman; she became involved with both the Illinois Federation of Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican Women, of which she was a past vice president; in 2012, she ran as a Republican for the 84th District State House seat; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Fee was a mentor to young women in politics and liked to volunteer; she enjoyed the Iditarod dog sledding race in Alaska; she loved her family, knitting, crafts, and politics; she enjoyed living in Houston with Kelvin, right down the street from her grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Fee was preceded in death by her mother and her brother, James Bigler; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Fee is survived by her father; her husband, Kelvin; her son, Robert (Kristen) Dascal; her daughters, Sarah (Brandon) Zerface and Kaitlin Fee; her brothers, Thomas (Renee) Bigler and Leo (Sharon) Bigler; and her grandchildren, Maddox and Maverick Potter, Major and Monroe Dascal, and Leo Zerface; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Patricia Jeanne Fee and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Patricia Fee as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
