SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Joseph "Joe" Saputo of Crystal Lake, who passed away on April 9, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Joe Saputo was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to John Saputo and Rose Caparallie on April 8, 1929; he was one of 13 brothers and sisters; and

WHEREAS, Joe Saputo served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; and

WHEREAS, Joe Saputo was an avid outdoorsman and loved camping and fishing; he and his wife, Grace, played Mr. and Mrs. Santa for their family and friends for 20 years; and

WHEREAS, Joe Saputo was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 60 years, Grace; and

WHEREAS, Joe Saputo is survived by his children, Kathy (Dennis) Grzelak and Debbie Czerniak; his granddaughter, Nicole; his great-grandson, Camden; his grandsons; and his best friend and brother, Alex (Loretta) Saputo; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Joseph "Joe" Saputo, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Joe Saputo as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
