| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Arlene "Susie" R. Wiersma of Harvard, who | 4 | | passed away on February 28, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Arlene Wiersma was born in Morocco, Indiana to | 6 | | Lester and Vera (Standish) Waling on January 10, 1933; she | 7 | | married Wilbur T. Wiersma in Alden on December 30, 1950; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Arlene Wiersma was the owner of Alden Wood n | 9 | | Needle; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Arlene Wiersma was a member of the Alden United | 11 | | Methodist Church, the Alden Community Club, and the Alden | 12 | | United Methodist Women; she enjoyed her time being a crafter | 13 | | and seamstress; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Arlene Wiersma was preceded in death by her | 15 | | parents; her husband, Wilbur; her sisters, Elizabeth Ihrke and | 16 | | Violet June Myers; and her brothers, John Waling, Morris | 17 | | Waling, and Lester "Tom" Waling Jr.; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Arlene Wiersma is survived by her sister, Marilyn | 19 | | Blank, and her sister-in-law, Martha Schmidt; therefore, be it
