SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death Zachary A. "Zac" Short, who passed away on
4February 15, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Zac Short was born in Phoenix to Richard and
6Judith (Austin) Short on June 18, 1990; he moved to Illinois
7with his family in 1997 and graduated from Minooka Community
8High School in 2008; he attended Arizona State University,
9where he studied in the digital culture program in the School
10of Arts, Media and Engineering; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Zac Short co-founded and operated an apparel
12printing business and worked in various capacities in the
13restaurant industry; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Zac Short was an avid disc golfer and a loyal
15Chicago Cubs fan; he loved spending time with his family and
16friends, particularly his younger brother, Alexander, and his
17many cousins; he will be remembered for his constant smile and
18for his huge heart and willingness to help anyone he could; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Zac Short was preceded in death by his
20grandparents, Willard J. Short, William E. Austin Jr., and
21Geraldine A. Austin, and his uncle, Steven Allmandinger; and

1    WHEREAS, Zac Short is survived by his parents, Richard and
2Judith; his brother, Alexander; his grandmother, Eva M. Short;
3and several aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Zachary A. "Zac" Short, and extend our sincere condolences to
7his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Zac Short as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
