SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Nancy H. Strieter of McHenry, who passed
4away on February 4, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Nancy Strieter was born in Evanston to Carroll and
6Elsie (Tanner) Huntington on June 26, 1927; she married Richard
7Strieter in Evanston on December 6, 1952; she was a resident of
8Morton Grove for over 30 years and then Harvard for 15 years;
9she spent the last 16 years in McHenry near her daughter; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Nancy Strieter received her master's degree in
11library science and worked as a librarian for many years in
12Harvard and Glenview; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Nancy Strieter was an active member of The Harvard
14Woman's Club; she had a great love for animals, especially
15horses, cats, and dogs; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Nancy Strieter was preceded in death by her
17parents and her husband, Richard; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Nancy Strieter is survived by her daughters, Sally
19(Patrick) Ramsay and Ann (Monty) Huntington-Smith; her sister,
20Carolyn Huntington; her grandchildren, John Richard (Jillian)

1and Nicole Angela Ramsay; and her great-grandchildren, Ella
2Grace and Clara Elizabeth Ramsay; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Nancy H. Strieter, and extend our sincere condolences to her
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Nancy Strieter as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
