SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ronald E. "Ron" Hogan of Marengo, who
4passed away on January 22, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ron Hogan was born in Hamletsburg to Cecil and
6Marie (Powell) Hogan on October 19, 1945; he served in the
7United States Army during the Vietnam War and married Debra
8Kunde in Harmony on August 25, 1979; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Ron Hogan retired from Associated Electrical
10Contractors in Woodstock and was employed by Marengo Community
11High School for over 10 years; he was a former volunteer with
12the Marengo Fire Department for many years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Ron Hogan was a member of International
14Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #117 in Crystal Lake
15for 29 years; he enjoyed attending sports activities for his
16grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and
17great-nephews; he also enjoyed family gatherings, camping,
18boating, and fishing; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Ron Hogan was preceded in death by his parents and
20his brother, Gail Hogan; and

1    WHEREAS, Ron Hogan is survived by his wife, Debbie; his
2daughters, Kristine (Randy) Zwart and Julie (Steve) Dickerson;
3his grandchildren, Hunter and Shelby Zwart and Ashley and Megan
4Dickerson; his sister, Lois (Charles) Johnston; his brothers,
5Vernon and Larry (Nancy) Hogan; and several nieces and nephews;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Ronald E. "Ron" Hogan, and extend our sincere condolences to
10his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Ron Hogan as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
