SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James Day "Jim" Blazier of Harvard, who
4passed away on December 1, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jim Blazier was born in Harvard to James and
6Elizabeth Blazier on August 17, 1951; he married Dixie
7Berryhill in Harvard on November 7, 1970; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Jim Blazier retired in 2014 after running his own
9business, Blazier Trucking, for many years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Jim Blazier enjoyed farming, gardening, fishing,
11storytelling, reading books to his grandchildren, and having
12breakfast with his friends; he was active in his church,
13participating in many different activities and on committees
14throughout the years; he was a loving father, grandfather, and
15great-grandfather; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Jim Blazier was preceded in death by his father,
17James F. Blazier, and his brother, Dan Blazier; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Jim Blazier is survived by his children, Carla
19Sipe, Jessica (Eric) Sugalski, and Hannah (Mike) Jesski; his
20mother, Elizabeth Blazier; his brother, Roger (Dale) Blazier;

1his sisters, Robin (Al) Sack and Lynette Blazier; his
2grandchildren, Rachael and Jacob Hayes, James, Jonathon, and
3Kaitlynn Jesski, and Annica, Julia, and Nathan Sugalski; his
4great-granddaughter, Amelia Hayes; and many nieces, nephews,
5and great-nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8James Day "Jim" Blazier, and extend our sincere condolences to
9his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Jim Blazier as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
