SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James J. Salata of Genoa City, Wisconsin,
4formerly of North Chicago, who passed away on October 8, 2017;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, James Salata was born to John L. Sr. and Sylvia
7Salata on November 6, 1945; he graduated from North Chicago
8High School in 1963; and
 
9    WHEREAS, James Salata worked as a firefighter for the City
10of North Chicago; he then worked as an EMT and firefighter for
11the City of Waukegan; and
 
12    WHEREAS, After his retirement from the City of Waukegan, he
13enjoyed spending his days with his fiancee, friends, and
14family; he will be remembered by his family and friends for his
15kindness, patience, love of animals, and willingness to be
16there for others; and
 
17    WHEREAS, James Salata was preceded in death by his brother,
18John L. Salata Jr.; and his brother-in-law, Gene Steffens; and
 
19    WHEREAS, James Salata is survived by his loving fiancee,
20Virginia Fuentes; his sisters, Vivian Steffens, Ruth (Robert)

1Larsen, Felisa (Steven) Lee, and Susan (Mark Skweres) Salata;
2and his many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be
3it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6James J. Salata and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of James Salata as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
