HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of William
4Sommers "Will" Freiburger, who passed away on February 20,
52018, at the age of 17; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Will Freiburger was a senior at Batavia High
7School; early on, he realized how fragile and precious life was
8and decided that he would live life to the fullest; he became
9involved in numerous school activities, including serving as
10treasurer of both the Key Club and the student council; he was
11also a lead camp counselor at a social skills camp for autism;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Will Freiburger was an excellent student, making
14the National Honor Society, the National Spanish Honor Society,
15and the National Social Studies Honor Society; he was also
16named an Illinois State Scholar and was among the top 10% of
17high school seniors across the State; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Will Freiburger loved to travel and was able to
19experience many destinations all over the world; he visited
20South America on a charitable service trip; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Will Freiburger enjoyed all sports and played

1tennis for two years; he also enjoyed listening to music and
2hanging out with his friends; he had a fondness for wearing a
3leopard-print bathrobe, colorful socks, and Birkenstock
4sandals, as comfort was important to him; he loved to eat and
5was always on the search for the next foodie destination; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Will Freiburger was an avid supporter of organ and
7tissue donation programs, and his passing will provide up to
8170 recipients a second chance on life; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Will Freiburger is survived by his loving parents,
10Jane and John Freiburger; his brothers, Keegan, Luke, and Ian
11Freiburger; his grandmother, Sally Sommers; his grandfather,
12Ed Freiburger; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and good
13friends; therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
15HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
16mourn the passing of William Sommers "Will" Freiburger, and
17extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all
18who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Will Freiburger as an expression of
21our deepest sympathy.
