HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Kyle Devery on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank and most-coveted honor in Scouting, on October 26, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Through his dedication and hard work, Kyle Devery has demonstrated that he lives by the principles of the Scout Oath and Law; and

WHEREAS, For his Eagle Scout Service Project, Kyle Devery designed, built, and installed new shelving units for storage in the gym at Gigis Playhouse, a Down Syndrome Achievement Center in Hoffman Estates; an Eagle Scout Service Project, is required to be of significant valve to the community; and

WHEREAS, Kyle Devery is a junior at St. Edward High School in Elgin and is planning a career in law enforcement; he plans to attend Harper College for two years and then transfer to a four-year university; and

WHEREAS, Kyle Devery sets an example for his peers and friends through his leadership, hard work, and commitment; and

WHEREAS, Kyle Devery will be honored at an Eagle Court of Honor on March 4, 2018 at St. Hubert's Parish; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Kyle Devery on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, and we wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Kyle Devery as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
