1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to commend and congratulate LoRayne Logan
4 on her service to the Rockford Board of Fire and Police
5 Commissioners and her constant drive to help her community and
6 State; and

7     WHEREAS, LoRayne Logan founded WorkPlace Staff & Search in
8 1988 and is the current president and owner; her business has
9 been named a top 10 staffing company multiple times by Forbes
10 magazine; and

11     WHEREAS, LoRayne Logan is passionate about revitalizing
12 her community through work, various board involvements, and
13 charitable acts and donations; and

14     WHEREAS, LoRayne Logan has been a board member of the Rock
15 Valley College Foundation since 2003 and currently serves as
16 vice president; and

17     WHEREAS, In 2007, LoRayne Logan awarded a gift of $200,000
18 to the Rock Valley College Foundation in support of naming the
19 Rock Valley College Library in honor of Estelle M. Black, her
20 friend and mentor; and

1     WHEREAS, LoRayne Logan has been the chair of the Rockford
2 Board of Fire and Police Commissioners since 2005; and

3     WHEREAS, In 2011, LoRayne Logan was named a member of the
4 inaugural 20 People You Should Know by the Rockford Chamber of
5 Commerce; in 2013, the chamber recognized her as Woman Business
6 Owner of the Year; and

7     WHEREAS, LoRayne Logan has been involved with the community
8 enhancement group Transform Rockford since 2013 and currently
9 serves as its Engagement Team Lead; and

10     WHEREAS, LoRayne Logan is well-known to be self-reliant,
11 prepared, and diligent; she is highly respected by her
12 community; therefore, be it

13     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
14 HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
15 commend and congratulate LoRayne Logan on her service to the
16 Rockford Board of Fire and Police Commissioners and her
17 constant drive to help her community and State; and be it
18 further

19     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20 presented to LoRayne Logan as a symbol of our respect and
21 esteem.
