HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Billy J. Brown Jr. of Ramsey, Minnesota, formerly of Peoria, who passed away on June 13, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Billy Brown Jr. was born in Peoria to Billy Brown Sr. and Tracy (Proctor) Cagle on May 18, 1995; he earned his bachelor's degree from Concordia Lutheran University in St. Paul, Minnesota on May 3, 2018; he had planned to attend the University of West England to pursue his master's degree and play for an overseas football team; and

WHEREAS, Billy Brown Jr. loved sports; he ran track and played basketball and football; he enjoyed spending time with his family; he will be missed; and

WHEREAS, Billy Brown Jr. was preceded in death by his grandparents, George D. Hunter and E.V. and Josephine Brown; and

WHEREAS, Billy Brown Jr. is survived by his parents, Billy Brown Sr. and Tracy (Edward) Cagle; his brothers, Julius Cagle, Semaj Brown, Timothy (Trinity) Jones Jr., and Jakari Robertson; his sister, Brandi Anderson; his grandmother, Janettee Proctor; and his many other family members and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Billy J. Brown Jr. and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Billy Brown Jr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
