SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 4075/40 new

    Amends the Commission on Children and Youth Act. Extends the date by which the Commission on Children and Youth shall issue an interim report to the Governor and to the General Assembly on the Commission's activities from December 31, 2009 to December 31, 2019. Extends the date by which a draft strategic plan shall be submitted to the Governor and to the General Assembly from December 31, 2010 to December 31, 2020. Extends the date by which the final strategic plan shall be submitted to the Governor and to the General Assembly from June 1, 2011 to June 1, 2021. Repeals the Act on January 1, 2023. Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning State government.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Commission on Children and Youth Act is
5amended by changing Section 35 and by adding Section 40 as
6follows:
 
7    (20 ILCS 4075/35)
8    Sec. 35. Reporting; timelines. The Commission shall issue
9an interim report to the Governor and to the General Assembly
10on the Commission's activities on or before December 31, 2019
112009. A draft strategic plan shall be submitted to the Governor
12and to the General Assembly on or before December 31, 2020
132010. The final strategic plan shall be submitted to the
14Governor and to the General Assembly on or before June 1, 2021
152011. Any subsequent revisions to the strategic plan shall be
16submitted to the Governor and to the General Assembly within 30
17days after the revisions are approved by the Commission.
