SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Thomas John Reynolds, who passed away on January 1, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Reynolds was born in Chicago to Irish immigrants Patrick Reynolds and Anne Forde on February 10, 1938; he served in the United States Army for five years and attained the rank of Captain; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Reynolds served as a Second Assistant Cook County Public Defender, speaking on behalf of the underprivileged for 40 years; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Reynolds was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Reynolds; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Reynolds is survived by his wife of over 45 years, Aline Frances (Greenhaw); his children, Patrick "Todd" (Jennifer) Reynolds, Erin (James) Reynolds-Fallis, Kevin (Katherine) Reynolds, and Brianne (Christopher) Croteau; and his grandchildren, Maren, Collin, Teaghan, and Ciara; and his siblings, Margaret Fric and James Reynolds; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Thomas John Reynolds and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Thomas John Reynolds as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
