SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Thomas O. "Tom" Moore of Moline, who
4passed away on June 2, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Tom Moore was born in Rock Island to William and
6Marie (Tambascio) on December 17, 1948; he served in the U.S.
7Army; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Tom Moore served as a police officer for the City
9of Moline; he then joined John Deere and Co.; he retired as a
10maintenance engineer after a career spanning over 30 years;
11during his retirement, he drove trucks for Penske and developed
12a love of the road; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Tom Moore was an avid golfer and loved to laugh;
14he had a magnetic personality, a sharp wit, and a warm
15kindness; wherever he went, he made friends and left lasting
16impressions; his pride and joy was his family, and his proudest
17moment was donating his bone marrow to his brother, Russell;
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Tom Moore was preceded in death by his parents;

1    WHEREAS, Tom Moore is survived by his daughter, Abbey
2Helmetag; his son, Benjamin (Taneel) Moore; his grandchildren,
3Grant, Nicholas, and Olivia Helmetag, Tyler and Avery Moore,
4and Jordan and Bryce Iwinski; his brothers, Russell (Maria),
5Wade (Nanette), Michael, and Patrick (Cinnamon); and numerous
6nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Thomas O. "Tom" Moore and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Tom Moore as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
