SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Thomas P. Grampovcnik of Beach Park, who passed away on July 30, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Grampovcnik was born in Waukegan to Peter and Shirley (Maciejewski) Grampovcnik on May 16, 1949; he graduated from Waukegan High School; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Grampovcnik worked as a steel worker for Liquid Controls in Lake Bluff; he went on to work for many years at Abbott Laboratories; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Grampovcnik was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and bowling; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Grampovcnik was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Thomas Jr.; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Grampovcnik is survived by his son, Ted; his daughter, Heidi (Al) Manges; his son, Terry; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his sister, Barbara Ginn; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Thomas P. Grampovcnik and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Thomas Grampovcnik as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
