SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert Monroe "Bob" Leach of Beach Park, who passed away on January 4, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Bob Leach was born in Camp Douglas, Wisconsin to Monroe and Elaine (Hendricks) Leach on February 2, 1950; he graduated from Waukegan High School in 1968 and served in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam from 1968 to 1972; he married Barbara Means on September 1, 2001; and

WHEREAS, Bob Leach worked as an electrician for over 30 years as a member of IBEW Local 150; and

WHEREAS, Bob Leach was preceded in death by his father, Monroe, and an infant daughter, Breanne Leach; and

WHEREAS, Bob Leach is survived by his wife, Barbara; his mother, Elaine Leach; his daughters, Anna Cornejo, Kelly (Jeff) Long, and Erin and Bethany Leach; his grandchildren, Abigail, Madelyn, Emma, Olivia, Quinn, and Gavin; his sister, Pam (Jim) Miller; his brother, Ron (Sharon) Leach; his sister-in-law, Carol (Brian) Friday; five nieces and nephews; and many friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert Monroe "Bob" Leach and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bob Leach as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
