SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Cynthia M. "Cindi" (Sundberg) Haley, who passed away on February 15, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Cindi Haley was born in Burlington, Wisconsin to David and Ruth (Reger) Sundberg on April 24, 1945; she graduated from Burlington High School; and

WHEREAS, After graduation, Cindi Haley moved to North Chicago and began her career as a secretary at Abbott Laboratories; during this time, she met and married Dennis M. Haley; and

WHEREAS, During retirement, Cindi Haley enjoyed watching Hallmark movies and making potato salad and ham salad with her close friends; she and Dennis enjoyed cruising around in their 2002 Thunderbird and dining in most Lake County restaurants, especially having breakfast at Bob & Ann's; and

WHEREAS, Cindi Haley was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Dennis; her sister, Anna Marie Wegrzyn; and her parents; and

WHEREAS, Cindi Haley is survived by nieces and nephews; her great-nephew; her two great-nieces; her great-great-nephew; her brother-in-law, Patrick (Teena); her cousins; and several close friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Cynthia M. "Cindi" (Sundberg) Haley and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Cindi Haley as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
