SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Dr. Joseph Karinattu of Danville, who
4passed away on January 9, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dr. Karinattu was born in Erumeli, India to Mathew
6and Ann (Njarackel) Karinattu on August 6, 1938; he married Raj
7Mundattuchundayil on August 19, 1963; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Dr. Karinattu founded the Tilton Medical Center in
91984, where he worked as a family practice physician; he was a
10volunteer physician at Well Baby Clinics for several years; he
11was nursing home director at Vermilion Manor and Colonial Manor
12Nursing Homes; he was a past president of the Vermilion County
13Medical Society and served as the secretary and treasurer of
14the Vermilion County Medical Society from 1990 to the present;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Dr. Karinattu was a member St. Paul's Catholic
17Church; he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren,
18photography, listening to classical music, and fishing; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Dr. Karinattu was preceded in death by his parents
20and one sister; and

1    WHEREAS, Dr. Karinattu is survived by his wife, Raj; his
2son, Jeff (Betcy) Karinattu; his daughter, Jennifer (Jim) Ward;
3his grandchildren, Ava Karinattu and Caitlyn and Justin Ward;
4his three brothers and three sisters; and a special cousin,
5Rev. Thomas Njarackel; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Dr. Joseph Karinattu and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Dr. Karinattu as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
