SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Larry Lee Noreuil of Hopedale, formerly of Pekin, who passed away on December 31, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Larry Noreuil was born in Carlinville to Antone and Jennie Conterio Noreuil on April 30, 1944; he attended St. Joseph Catholic School, Pekin Community High School, and Midstate College in Peoria; he married Cynthia Francesca Rossi in Hopedale on December 28, 1958; and

WHEREAS, Larry Noreuil worked as a real estate agent for 40 years; he last worked as the Nursing Home Administrator for Hopedale Medical Complex; he served on the Tazewell County Board for 21 years and was the Pekin Township Supervisor for 26 years, where he instituted the workfare program and initiated free meals for families in need; and

WHEREAS, Larry Noreuil was active in the Democratic Party; he was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin and Hopedale; he loved his family; and

WHEREAS, Larry Noreuil was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Larry Noreuil is survived by his children, Andrew (Lynne) Noreuil, Nicole (John) Scherer, Phillip Noreuil, Christopher (Jamy) Noreuil, and Francesca (fiance, Richard Morgan) Noreuil; his grandchildren, Augustus, Theodore, Benedict, Gwendolyn, Alex, Olivia, Connor, Madilyn, Victoria, and Dominic; his brother, Stephen (Patricia) Noreuil; and his sister, Paulette Weghorst; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Larry Lee Noreuil and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Larry Noreuil as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
