1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate Edwardsville High School
4 wrestler Luke Odom on winning the 160-pound State Wrestling
5 Championship at the 2019 IHSA State Wrestling Tournament; and

6     WHEREAS, Luke Odom compiled a season record of 50 wins and
7 1 loss; and

8     WHEREAS, Luke Odom has had a stellar career at Edwardsville
9 High School, where he broke the record for most wins; and

10     WHEREAS, Luke Odom is a three-time state qualifier and has
11 two third-place state tournament finishes; and

12     WHEREAS, Luke Odom was named male Athlete of the Month for
13 Edwardsville High School for January 2020; and

14     WHEREAS, Luke Odom will be taking his wrestling talents to
15 the University of Illinois; therefore, be it

16     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
17 HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
18 we congratulate Luke Odom on winning the 160-pound State
19 Wrestling Championship at the 2019 IHSA State Wrestling

1 Tournament, and we wish him the best in all his future
2 endeavors; and be it further

3     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to Luke Odom as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
