HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Milford-Cissna Park
48-man football team, the Bearcats, on winning the inaugural
5Illinois 8-Man Football Association State Championship; and
 
6    WHEREAS, On November 9, 2018, the Bearcats defeated the
7Green Giants of Alden-Hebron 66 to 14 to capture the state
8title at April Zorn Memorial Stadium on the campus of Monmouth
9College; and
 
10    WHEREAS, The Bearcats put on a defensive show during the
11game, forcing three turnovers and holding the Green Giants to
12104 yards of total offense; this was paired with 400 yards of
13offense on the ground and 107 yards in the air for the
14Bearcats; and
 
15    WHEREAS, The Bearcats are coached by Head Coach Clint
16Schwartz and Assistant Coaches Sid Allen and Nathan Giacchino;
17the Athletic Trainer is Jessi Schwartz; and
 
18    WHEREAS, The Bearcats are Cam Garrison, Jared Schunke,
19Kennedy Kunsch, Nick Allen, Avinash Gu, Chasine Walwer, Trey
20Totheroh, Alex Barney, Kadin Randalls, Nick Warren, Penn
21Stoller, Jarid Woodby, Ashton Sparks, Nick McKinley, Dragon

1Miljkovic, Angel Salinas, Raven Satkoski, Ryan King, Jacob
2Nash, Micah Sheridan, Zane Trumann, Rudy King, Tanner Garrison,
3and Jordan Raymer; and
 
4    WHEREAS, The Bearcats were supported throughout the season
5by cheerleaders, Emma Morts, Jakai Martin, Lexie Mathews,
6Hayley Sexton, Emma Hansen, Kinley Bruens, Jessica Hines,
7Bailee Fanning, Hannah Osborn, Allyssa Mullen, Adrianna Chase,
8Kylie Maples, Jordan Lamb, and coach, Brianna Sechriest;
9therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
11HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
12we congratulate the Bearcats of Milford-Cissna Park on winning
13the inaugural Illinois 8-Man Football Association State
14Championship, and we admire and respect their effort, tenacity,
15and drive even in the face of adversity; and be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
17presented to the Bearcats players and coaches as a symbol of
18our respect and esteem.
