HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to commend Dominic Falagario on his service to the Village of Norridge; and

WHEREAS, Dominic Falagario was elected to a four-year term as Village Trustee in 1999; as a Trustee, he chaired the Law and Ordinance Committee; most notably, he sat on the Advisory Review Committee and the Zoning Board of Trustees and was responsible for adjudication court; he served as a member of the Finance, License, and Contracts and the Village Properties, Sidewalks, Environment, and Economic Development Committees; and

WHEREAS, An active community member, Dominic Falagario served as Norridge Park District President and Commissioner for 18 years; he served on a Telecommunications Advisory Committee in 1997 and was a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals; he was also involved in Norridge Youth Activities as coach and manager for ten years; he was one of the founders of the Pre-School, Day Care, and Adult Recreation Centers at the Norridge Park District as well as the Greater Illinois Semi-Pro Baseball League, where he represented Norridge; and

WHEREAS, A retired executive from Supervalue, Dominic Falagario served as the head of store planning and development; he has a degree in architectural engineering and design and was active with the Architectural Review Committee and the National Institute of Store Planners; he has resided in Norridge for the past 52 years; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we commend Dominic Falagario on his service to the Village of Norridge; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Dominic Falagario as an expression of our esteem and respect.
