HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate the West Lincoln-Broadwell Elementary School 8th grade girls basketball team, the Lady Wolverines, on winning the 2018-19 Illinois Elementary School Association Class 1A State Championship by defeating Wallace Grade School 46 to 10; and

WHEREAS, The 8th grade Lady Wolverines ended their season with a record of 24 wins and zero losses; and

WHEREAS, The 8th grade Lady Wolverines were the 2018 Logan County Champions; and

WHEREAS, The 8th grade Lady Wolverines are Elly Martinez, Becca Heitzig, Kloe Froebe, Jenna Bowman, Tori Geriets, Regan Goodey, Alison Turner, Piper Whiteman, Jane Turner, Emma Baker, Rebecca Burge, Lily Holmes, Mia Clark, and Marin Luckhart; and

WHEREAS, The managers for the 8th grade Lady Wolverines are Addie Farmer, Kendall Long, and Kruz Froebe; and

WHEREAS, The coaching staff for the 8th grade Lady Wolverines are assistant coaches Ashley Paulus and Cory Farmer and Head Coach Kari Froebe; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the West Lincoln-Broadwell Elementary School 8th grade girls basketball team, the Lady Wolverines, on winning the 2018-19 Illinois Elementary School Association Class 1A State Championship, and we commend them for their hard work on and off the court, for their dedicated coaching staff leading the team, their perfect season, and their outstanding teamwork; and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented to each 8th grade Lady Wolverine, their parents, and the coaching staff.
