Biography: Senator Yadav "Nick" Nathwani was sworn in to represent the interests of the 24th District on November 26, 2018, for the remainder of the 100th General Assembly and has made history as the first Indian-American member of the Illinois State Senate. He currently leads the Milton Township Republican Central Committee as Vice-Chairman and has served as a Trustee for over five years. Prior to the Township, he was appointed as the Finance Commissioner for the Village of Glen Ellyn and elected as a Board Member of the Glenbard Township High School District 87, where he first began his public service in local government at the age of 25. Professionally, Senator Nathwani works full-time as the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for a professional paving and concrete company bringing a wealth of financial and revenue knowledge to the Illinois Senate.
