    AN ACT in relation to State soil.

    Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:

    Section  5.  The  State  Designations  Act  is amended by
adding Section 75 as follows:

    (5 ILCS 460/75 new)
    Sec. 75.  State soil.  The soil known  as  Drummer  silty
clay  loam is designated the official State soil of the State
of Illinois.

    Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect  upon
becoming law.
    Passed in the General Assembly May 09, 2001.
    Approved August 02, 2001.
