AN ACT concerning local government.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The Park District Code is amended by adding |
Section 8-13a as follows:

(70 ILCS 1205/8-13a new) |
Sec. 8-13a. Agreements related to solar energy. |
Notwithstanding any other provision of this Code, a park |
district may enter into a lease, contract, or other agreement |
related to the acquisition of solar energy, including the |
installation, maintenance, and service of solar panels, |
equipment, or similar technology related to solar energy, for |
a period not to exceed 2.5 times the term of years provided for |
in Section 8-13 when authorized by the affirmative vote of |
two-thirds of the governing board of the park district.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
becoming law.
