AN ACT concerning regulation.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The Massage Licensing Act is amended by |
changing Section 67 as follows:
|

(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2027)

Sec. 67. Continuing education. The Department shall adopt |
rules for
continuing education for persons licensed under this |
Act that require a
completion of 25 24 hours of approved |
continuing education per license renewal
period. For each |
license renewal period, one hour of continuing education shall |
be domestic violence and sexual assault awareness education as |
prescribed by rule of the Department. The one-hour domestic |
violence and sexual assault awareness continuing education |
course shall be provided by a continuing education provider |
approved by the Department. The Department may adopt rules |
regarding the requirements for domestic violence and sexual |
assault awareness continuing education courses and teachers. |
The Department shall establish by rule a means for the |
verification of
completion of the continuing education |
required by this Section. This
verification may be |
accomplished through audits of records maintained by the
