AN ACT concerning government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by |
adding Section 194 as follows:
|
(5 ILCS 490/194 new) |
Sec. 194. Illinois Constitution Day. August 26 of each |
year is designated as Illinois Constitution Day, to be |
observed throughout the State as a day to commemorate August |
26, 1818 as the day Illinois ratified its first State |
Constitution.
