AN ACT concerning education.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section |
2-3.176 as follows:

(105 ILCS 5/2-3.176 new) |
Sec. 2-3.176. Work-based learning database. |
(a) In this Section, "work-based learning" means an |
educational strategy that provides students with real-life |
work experiences in which they can apply academic and technical |
skills and develop their employability. |
(b) The State Board must develop a work-based learning |
database to help facilitate relationships between school |
districts and businesses and expand work-based learning in this |
State.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
becoming law.
