    AN ACT concerning regulation.
  
 
    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
 
represented in the General Assembly:
  
 
 
    Section 5. The University of Illinois Hospital Act is 
amended  by adding Section 6.5 as follows:
 
    (110 ILCS 330/6.5 new)
    Sec. 6.5. List of individuals that may not be admitted for 
treatment prohibited. The University of Illinois Hospital may 
not maintain a list of individuals that may not be admitted for 
treatment at the University of Illinois Hospital. Nothing in 
this Section shall be construed to prohibit the University of 
Illinois Hospital or a member of the University of Illinois 
Hospital's medical staff from recommending an alternate 
provider, coordinating an appropriate transfer, or arranging 
access to care services that best meets the needs of an 
individual patient.
 
    Section 10. The Hospital Licensing Act is amended  by adding 
Section 9.7 as follows:
 
    (210 ILCS 85/9.7 new)
    Sec. 9.7. List of individuals that may not be admitted for 
treatment prohibited. No hospital may maintain a list of 
individuals that may not be admitted for treatment at the 
hospital. Nothing in this Section shall be construed to 
prohibit a hospital or a member of the hospital's medical staff 
from recommending an alternate provider, coordinating an 
appropriate transfer, or arranging access to care services that 
best meets the needs of an individual patient.
