AN ACT concerning regulation.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The Home Health, Home Services, and Home Nursing |
Agency Licensing Act is amended by adding Section 3.8 as |
follows:

(210 ILCS 55/3.8 new) |
Sec. 3.8. Referrals; license required. A hospital licensed |
under the Hospital Licensing Act, hospital operated under the |
University of Illinois Hospital Act, facility licensed under |
the Nursing Home Care Act, or health care provider licensed |
under any Act of this State that receives funds from this State |
may not refer a patient or the family of a patient to an agency |
unless the agency is licensed under this Act.
