AN ACT concerning State government.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The Department of Human Services Act is amended |
by adding Section 1-42 as follows:

Sec. 1-42. Department Ambassador. Subject to |
appropriation, as part of a pilot program, the Department shall |
designate one or more officials or employees to serve as |
Department Ambassador. Department Ambassadors shall serve as a |
liaison between the Department and the public and shall have |
the following duties: (i) to inform the public about services |
available through the Department, (ii) to assist the public in |
accessing those services, (iii) to review the Department's |
methods of disseminating information, and (iv) to recommend and |
implement more efficient practices of providing services and |
information to the public where possible.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
becoming law. |
