    AN ACT concerning regulation.
  
 
    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
 
represented in the General Assembly:
  
 
 
    Section 5. The Nursing Home Care Act is amended  by changing 
Section 1-125.1 as follows:
 



    (210 ILCS 45/1-125.1)  (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 4151-125.1)



    Sec. 1-125.1. 
"Student intern" means any person whose total 
term of employment
in any facility during any 12-month period 
is equal to or less than 90 continuous
days, and whose term of 
employment is either,

    (1) an academic credit requirement in a high school or 
undergraduate or graduate institution; , or

    (2) immediately succeeds a full quarter, semester or 
trimester of academic
enrollment in either a high school or 
undergraduate or graduate institution, provided
that such 
person is registered for another full quarter, semester or 
trimester
of academic enrollment in either a high school or 
undergraduate or graduate institution
which quarter, semester 
or trimester will commence immediately following
the term of 
employment; or .

    (3) immediately succeeds graduation from the high school or 
undergraduate or graduate institution.

    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
becoming law.
