AN ACT concerning veterans.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 3. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by |
adding Section 165 as follows:
|
(5 ILCS 490/165 new) |
Sec. 165. Purple Heart Day. The 7th day of August of each |
year is designated Purple Heart Day to be observed as a day to |
honor and remember those who have been wounded or killed in |
battle.

Section 5. The National Guard Veterans Exposure to |
Hazardous Materials Act is amended by repealing Section 20.
