    AN ACT concerning criminal law.
 
    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
 
    Section 5. The Criminal Code of 1961 is amended by adding
Section 12-10.3 as follows:
 
    (720 ILCS 5/12-10.3 new)
    Sec. 12-10.3. False representation to a tattoo or body
piercing business as the parent or legal guardian of a minor.
    (a) A person, other than the parent or legal guardian of a
minor, commits the offense of false representation to a tattoo
or body piercing business as the parent or legal guardian of a
minor when he or she falsely represents himself or herself as
the parent or legal guardian of the minor to an owner or
employee of a tattoo or body piercing business for the purpose
of:
        (1) accompanying the minor to a business that provides
    tattooing as required under Section 12-10 of this Code
    (tattooing body of minor);
        (2) accompanying the minor to a business that provides
    body piercing as required under Section 12-10.1 of this
    Code (piercing the body of a minor); or
        (3) furnishing the written consent required under
    Section 12-10.1 of this Code (piercing the body of a
    minor).
    (b) Sentence. False representation to a tattoo or body
piercing business as the parent or legal guardian of a minor is
a Class C misdemeanor.
