AN ACT concerning government.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by |
changing Section 90 as follows:
|
(5 ILCS 490/90) (from Ch. 1, par. 3051-90)
|
Sec. 90. Veterans Day. The eleventh day of November of each |
year shall
be a holiday to be known as Veterans Day and to be |
observed throughout the
State as a day to hold appropriate |
exercises in commemoration of the
victory of the United States |
Army, the United States Navy, and the United
States Air Force, |
the United States Marines, the United States Coast Guard, and |
the United States Merchant Marines in all wars.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
