AN ACT concerning State government.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The Department of Commerce and Economic |
Opportunity Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is |
amended by adding Section 605-347 as follows:

Sec. 605-347. Energy-efficient appliance information. |
(a) Before December 31, 2006, the Department may, subject |
to appropriation, provide information to the public on |
energy-efficient appliances by a hypertext link to the Energy |
Star Internet website maintained by the United States |
Environmental Protection Agency or by compiling information |
about the Energy Star Program on the Department's website. |
(b) For the purpose of this Section, an "energy-efficient |
appliance" means any household appliance that qualifies as an |
"Energy Star" product under the Energy Star Program |
administered by the United States Environmental Protection |
Agency.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
becoming law.
