AN ACT concerning State government.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The Department of Agriculture Law of the Civil |
Administrative
Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section |
205-450 as follows:

Sec. 205-450. Anhydrous ammonia security grants. The |
Department of Agriculture shall establish a grant program to |
improve security at anhydrous ammonia facilities by |
encouraging the industry to utilize industry approved ammonia |
additives, install tank locking devices, or install security |
systems to prevent the use of anhydrous ammonia in the illegal |
manufacture of methamphetamine. The Department shall determine |
the eligibility of applicants for grants under this Section. |
Subject to appropriation made for this purpose by the General |
Assembly, the Department shall award grants to eligible |
recipients in accordance with rules adopted by the Department.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
becoming law. |
