AN ACT concerning education.
| ||||
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
| ||||
represented in the General Assembly:
| ||||
Section 5. The College Student Immunization Act is amended | ||||
by changing Section 1 as follows:
| ||||
(110 ILCS 20/1) (from Ch. 144, par. 2601)
| ||||
Sec. 1. Definitions. For the purposes of this Act:
| ||||
(a) "Department" means the Illinois Department of Public | ||||
Health.
| ||||
(b) "Post-secondary educational institution" means a | ||||
public or private
college or university offering degrees and | ||||
instruction above the high
school level, and shall include, but | ||||
not be limited to, any and all private
colleges and | ||||
universities, the University of Illinois, Southern Illinois
| ||||
University,
Chicago State University, Eastern Illinois | ||||
University, Governors State
University, Illinois State | ||||
University, Northeastern Illinois University,
Northern | ||||
Illinois University, Western Illinois University, and
any | ||||
other public university now or hereafter established or | ||||
authorized by
the General Assembly; except that a | ||||
post-secondary educational institution
does not mean or | ||||
include any public or private college or university that does | ||||
not provide
on-campus housing for its students in dormitories | ||||
or equivalent facilities that
are owned, operated, and | ||||
maintained by the public or private college or university.

The term shall not include any public or private junior or | ||||
community
college, or any institution offering degrees and | ||||
instruction which utilizes
correspondence as its primary mode | ||||
of student instruction.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon | ||||
becoming law.
