IL AFTER-SCHOOL INITIATIVE                                                 

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Directs the State Board of Education and  the  Department of           
   Human Services to convene and co-chair a task force, to be known as         
   the Illinois After-school Initiative.                                       
        SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                
        Deletes references to grants or contracts provided by the State        
   Board of Education and the Department of Human Services for the             
   development and implementation of the Illinois After-school Initiative      
   plan and assessment.
