Short description:
IDPA-TANF-CHILD CARE SERVICES

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. In provisions concerning
child care services for TANF recipients, requires the Department of
Human Services to determine income thresholds (for the purpose of
determining eligibility for services) annually at the beginning of
each fiscal year. Requires that the threshold be no less than 55% of
the then-current State median income. Removes provisions applicable to
fiscal year 1998. Provides that copayments for child care services
may not be increased due solely to a change in the methodology for
   counting family income.
