Senate Sponsors: SYVERSON-SIEBEN. Short description: COMMUNITY SRVCS-ACCREDITATION Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Community Services Act. Provides accreditation requirements for providers of mental health and substance abuse treatment services. Authorizes the Department of Human Services to adopt additional standards for monitoring and licensing accredited programs, services, and facilities that the Department has determined are not covered by the accreditation standards and processes. Requires proof of compliance with fire and health safety standards. Provides that on and after the effective date of this amendatory Act, the accreditation requirements apply to contracted organizations that are already accredited. Effective immediately.
