INCOME TX-DEDUCT MEDICAL COSTS                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Income Tax Act.  Beginning with taxable years      
   ending on or after December 31, 2001 and  ending  with  taxable  years      
   ending  on  or  before December 30, 2006, allows a deduction from base      
   income of an amount equal to the amount spent during the taxable  year      
   for care at a long term care facility.  Effective immediately.
