Provides that the criteria used by the board in selecting a plan administrator shall include the administrator's proven ability to administer individual accident and health benefit plans. Effective immediately. FISCAL NOTE (Comprehensive Health Insurance Plan) The overall fiscal impact of SB 849 would be neutral, not resulting in the expenditure of any additional State funds. There may be a beneficial net effect since SB 849 could increase the number of insurers and third party administrators eligible to be considered as plan administrator for CHIP.
